Never Lost A Battle

“An encouragement for the people of Israel during the coming night.”

There is coming a dark and cloudy day when the hosts of hell will inflame the nations of the whole world to once again destroy the people of Israel. It often seems that we forget why Israel is so paranoid about making peace with her Arab neighbors. Israel is in reality searching for security, and is only too willing to trade land for peace in a vain attempt to guarantee her survival. Most of the people around the world simply fail to comprehend that the seed of Israel have historically been targeted by Satan for total annihilation. Therefore the nations cannot understand the sinister conspiracy of supernatural forces isolating Israel and seeking to incorporate all nations into a confederated alliance against Israel. As a Christian, I will not be around during that dark and cloudy day to console or encourage the children of Israel.

In these trying times when the lonely nation of Israel seems hopelessly interlocked in an ever spiraling cycle of violence with her neighbors, it is incumbent upon me as a Christian, and a servant of him that loveth Israel to offer some encouraging words to that chosen nation.

God surely loved the nation of Israel as he loved no other nation. And because he has manifestly loved Israel, he has demonstrated his love to all nations. But that does not mean that God doesn't love everybody, nor does he not desire to bless all nations. It simply demonstrates the historical realty that God is involved manifestly in the affairs of all the nations, calling all people, from every tribe and language to the one born as the King of the Jews. Unfortunately, the nations of this world are blinded to the realty of God's providence to use Israel to bless the whole world. God referred to Jerusalem as the apple of his eye. The Jerusalem that Abraham searched for is in reality an eternal city, a city whose builder and maker is God almighty. When Jesus visited the old city of Jerusalem 2000 years ago, he wept over the fact that Israel would reject him, and that they would ultimately accept an infamous and notorious imposter.

Alas the enemies of God today are encircling Israel and the city of Jerusalem. That noose of encirclement seems to be tightening tighter and tighter as events unfold in these epic days. Even this eventuality is in God's providential plan of the ages.

But there is coming a day when the Lord will stand up for his people. It is known in the Old Testament as the Day of the Lord. Israel is contemplating that very question today. “Who will stand up for me?”

Psalms 94:16….Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

Daniel 12:1….. And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a Time of Trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

God is undertaking to work a mighty miracle not only in Israel, but also throughout the whole world. In these Last Days, God is permitting every nation in the world to align themselves either for his provident designs for Israel, or individually to choose to align themselves in opposition to Gods determination for the nation of Israel. Soon and very soon the Lord himself shall descend to do battle with the God of this world, ( Satan ) who is even now busy confederating the nations together against God's anointed.

Psalms 2:2-6 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens( God ) shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

To the tiny and much-hated nation of Israel let me infer the lines from a famous gospel song:

“When the storms of life are raging, the Lord will stand by you, When the world is tossing you like a ship out on the sea, thou who rulest wind and water, will stand by you. When you do the best you can and those around you do not understand, “He Who Never Lost a Battle”, will stand by you.

"STAND BY ME"
written in 1905 by C.A. Tindley

1-----When the storms of life are raging, (stand by me) When the storms of life are raging, ( stand by me, stand by me ) When the world is tossing me, like a ship upon the sea; Thou who rulest wind and water, (stand by me)

2.---In the midst of Tribulation, (stand by me) In the midst of tribulation, (stand by me) When the hosts of hell assail , and my strength begins to fail, Thou Who Never Lost a Battle, (stand by me)

3.---In the midst of faults and failures, (stand by me) In the midst of faults and failures, (stand by me) When I do the best I can, and my friends misunderstand, Thou who knowest all about me, (stand by me)

4.---In the midst of persecution, (stand by me) In the midst of persecution, (stand by me) When my foes in battle array, undertake to stop my way, Thou Who Never Lost a Battle, (stand by me).

5.----When I'm growing old and feeble, ( stand by me) When I'm growing old and feeble, (stand by me) When my life becomes a burden, and I'm nearing chilly Jordan, Thou Who Never Lost a Battle, (stand by me).

The Lord has fought many battles and he has never lost a single one. The long storied history of the children of Israel exhibits that the Lord was gracious unto Israel, and upheld their hand in battle so long as they remembered to honor the laws and statutes of the one who preserved them through all of her battles. Unfortunately, Israel went whoring after other Gods's and lost the precious protection of Yahweh.

Deuteronomy 20:1-4 When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the Lord thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. And it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people, And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them; For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

Psalms 24:8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

Psalms 55:16-18 As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice. He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.

Zechariah 14:3 Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

Today, it seem that the whole world I against Israel. In the unseen world, dark forces are preparing the nations of the world for an onslaught against Israel. Thousands of demonstrators are chanting death to Israel in the streets of capitol cities around the world. International and diplomatic pressure is being applied to force Israel into a compromising position with terrorists, and in the lynchpin of the hatred being spewed at Israel, many innocent people on all sides of the borders in the Middle East are caught up in that conflict. It is all too apparent that the hatred being fomented against Israel isn't merely a misunderstanding amongst neighbors about borders, occupation, or freedom. The spirit of the rhetoric and political venom is literally the supernatural effect of evil spirits causing a convulsion of evil to explode in the direction of Zion. It is a reminder of the coming deception that shall go forth to all nations during the Time of Jacobs Trouble, compelling the kings of the earth to unite in battle against God's anointed.

Revelation 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

Joel 3 For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up: Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong. Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O Lord. Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. So shall ye know that I am the Lord your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.

Oh little nation of Israel, though you are small, and surrounded by those who hate you, the Lord shall remember you in the time of your affliction. You will soon be encircled by an enemy seeking your total extinction. But, if thou will return unto the Lord God, and recognize thy Deliverer, he will save you. Even in the midst of the coming darkness of Tribulation, he will send forth the one whom ye pierced 2000 years ago. When your enemies have you cornered, and there is no place else for you to turn, simply lift your eyes and look to the eastern sky, and behold thy redeemer. He will be coming in battle array to rescue all his people at the midnight hour, and THE LORD HAS NEVER LOST A BATTLE

In the midst of Tribulation, (stand by me, stand by me! ) In the midst of tribulation, (stand by me) When the hosts of hell assail , and my strength begins to fail, Thou Who Never Lost a Battle, (stand by me, stand by me! )

Psalms 86:6-7 Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

Psalms 102:1-2 Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee. Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.

HE WHO NEVER LOST A BATTLE
WILL STAND BY YOU
