Question # 71... What is the Jewish celebration of Hanukah for? Is it at all represented in Bible Prophecy?

Answer.... Hanukkah is a joyous holiday, celebrated with singing and the reading of the Torah in remembrance of God's goodness to the Jewish people. The story of the first Hanukkah in 1st Macabees describes the desecration of the Temple in Jerusalem by Antiochus IV, also known as Antiochus Epiphanes. This Seleucid ruler took over the Temple Mount and violated the Jewish sanctuary by having a pig sacrificed on Yahweh's altar and by erecting an idol to Zeus in the Holy of Holies.

Outraged, a priest of the Hasmonean family, Mattathias, organized a revolt. He and his sons, and a band led by his son Judah Macabee, fought valiantly against the Greeks and won back the Temple Mount. On the 25th of Kislev in 165 B.C. the Temple was purified and rededicated to Yahweh. This rededication is annually celebrated through the eight days of "Hanukkah" - the Hebrew word for dedication.

Why eight days? The priestly services for the Holy Temple were to include certain ceremonies, including making daily sacrifices, burning incense, and lighting the Menorah. However, in the desecration of the Temple, all the jars of oil for the Menorah had been broken, and only one jar was found (which itself was a miracle enough). It took eight days for more oil to be brought to the Temple, yet that single jar of oil lasted all eight days. To commemorate this Miracle of Lights, another candle on the Menorah is lit each evening during Hanukkah, until the eighth night when all are lit.

Hanukkah has significance to Christians as we look forward to another desecration of the Holy Temple by the Coming World Ruler often referred to as the Antichrist. Jesus speaks of this event in Matthew 24:15, as does Paul in II Thessalonians:

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. ( II Thessalonians 2:3-4 )

But again, after the Antichrist is revealed, God will send the Messiah, the Lord, who will consume the Antichrist "with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming." ( II Thessalonians 2:8 )

Question # 72 Why shouldn't the Palestinians be granted statehood? Aren't they being illegally occupied and oppressed by the Israeli army?

Answer……There has never existed in all of human history a state called Palestine. The people that are referred to as being Palestinians today were simply residents in a region labeled as Palestine, but which has always been under the jurisdiction of foreign powers. It is once again “foreign powers” ( UN, Islam, Rome ) that are manipulating the land called “Palestine”, and “the poor people associated with that name” to inhibit Israel from once again exercising sovereign control of their ancient homeland. Only one nation in history has ever established an independent sovereign state on that land. That nation was Israel, and they purchased many of the sites in the Promised Land. ( Shechem, Jerusalem, Hebron ) The British Mandate and French Mandates of the 1920's carved out the state-boundaries in the Middle East. The Palestinians were granted 77% of the British Mandate and Israel a mere 23%, with Jerusalem being withheld from Israel. This was the world's legal solution to the land controversy. But the Holy Bible is another legal matter. God has mandated that all of this land belongs to Israel. The big problem is that the world does not recognize the Holy Bible, and certainly not the God of Israel as legal mandate overseers! ( for more on this subject see “Two Peoples, One Land” )

Question #73…What should the response of the Church be in light of the Islamic attacks on a supposedly Christian country? How should the events of September 11, 2001 challenge the Church of Jesus Christ? Make no mistake, how Christians respond at this time will decide the future and nature of Christ's mission to the Muslim world.

Answer….Number one…The light of God's truth needs to penetrate the Islamic Curtain, to free those people from the grips of lies. The failure of the Church to take the gospel to these areas has helped to produce the environment of hate. The Church needs to Love Muslims by Preaching Christ, and the true Gospel. As the world watches the political events unfold in all their complexity, the Church must not forget that the ultimate answer to evil in all societies is Jesus Christ. It is our responsibility to preach Christ to everyone. However because of fear, the Church has rarely preached Christ to Muslims, as it should have done. Instead Christians have largely either ignored or appeased the Muslim world. After the September 11th attack it is surely time for a massive shift in mission thinking. Christ-centered preaching to Muslims must come to the top of the Church's agenda.

Number two…The Church needs to campaign for Religious Freedom in Muslim countries in order for the Gospel to be dispensed there. In the aftermath of the attack it is right to be concerned that Muslims in Western countries are not attacked. But it is also right for Christians to be reminded that there is no freedom to preach Christ to Muslims, throughout the entire Islamic world. There is no freedom to proclaim Christ, no freedom for Muslims to convert, no freedom for Christians from a Muslim background to assemble together or be trained for ministry. In many Muslim countries there is no freedom to even print Bibles or build churches. And in all Muslim countries the law of apostasy, that demands death for anyone converting from Islam, is either tolerated or actively sponsored. Over one billion people are not allowed to hear the Gospel, and therefore they are doomed to lying spirits. This is the greatest violation of human rights in our time – yet there is little passion to see things change. The call to the church is to seize this historic opportunity and campaign for religious freedom in Muslim countries.

Question # 74 What about those people who take a middle ground to Christ. When the tribulation starts, will Christ only allow new believers to come to faith in Him or will all those who took a middle ground during the Church Age be given a second chance to get right?

Answer…… There really is no middle ground concerning Jesus Christ! Today is the day of Grace. To shun the free offer of salvation today is to risk the possibilty that the Holy Spirit will cease knocking on your hearts door. ( Luke 13:25 ) When the Tribulational era starts, there will be an exponential increase of seducing, deceiving spirits. For those unable to discern the truth concerning Christ now, they will find it even more difficult after the Restrainer of evil is removed. Luke 12: 48 seems to indicate that those who have had ready access to the gospel and rejected it will find that they are more highly accountable for having refused the word. The opportunity to receive the truth during the Tribulation will still be available to all, but the Antichrist will make it difficult for anyone to accept Jesus.

Question # 75......What is the difference between Islam and Christianity?

Answer..... I am often asked what the difference is between Islam and Christianity. Many people tell me that Allah and Jehovah are identical. But in my observance of these two God's, I have surmised these great distinction:

Islam is a religion in which Allah ( Islamic God ) requires you to send your son to die ( martyrdom against infidels ) for him. Christianity is a faith in which God ( Jehovah ) sends His SON to die for YOU. ( a sinner )

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ( JEHOVAH ) Surah 47:5 “Kill the unbelievers wherever you find them!” Make them prisoners and beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them at every place of ambush!” Allah will never render vain the works of those who are slain in His cause. ( ALLAH )

Question # 76... What is King Abdullah's views regarding Palestinian refugees, Jewish settlement construction, Palestinian Statehood, terrorism, the peace process, and the general future outlook between Israel and the Palestinians?

Answer…….. King Abdullah of Jordan is by definition in the Arab world a moderate. Having assumed power less than two years ago, after the death of his father, King Hussein, Abdullah is following in his father's tradition. As the leader of one of the two Arab states to sign a peace deal with Israel, King Abdullah is acceptable to the legitimacy of an Israeli state in the Middle East. However, he supports statehood for Palestine within the pre-1967 borders. He favors the right-of-return for all Palestinian refugees into Israel, and he insists on a halt to Israeli settlement construction within the West Bank. He also lobbies strongly for the establishment of Jerusalem as the Palestinian capitol. Jordan deferred to the PA as the proprietor and protector of the Islamic shrines on the Temple Mount in 1991. King Abdullah, to his credit abhors terrorism in all its forms. King Abdullah fully supports the Oslo Peace Process. Currently he is appealing to his fellow Arab leaders to explore a two-basket approach for peace in the Middle East. He is seeking to build an Arab Coalition that would grant recognition for Israel's existence in return for Israel's concession to the stipulations laid out in the Oslo Accords, namely, the granting of a Palestinian State with East Jerusalem as its capitol. Beyond that eventuality, he is acting as interloper to discuss with the EU, US, the UN, and the Arab League, a geo-strategic means to guarantee the security of all the nations in the region.

Question # 77.... There is a great movement within Israel, and world Judaism today to rebuild their ancient Temple, and to re-institute the old religious rituals. Should Christians be actively involved in supporting, aiding, or encouraging the Jews to rebuild their ancient Temple? I love Israel and believe that they have a right to the land, and to the city of Jerusalem, but I am confused about whether or not to support the idea of helping the Jews to rebuild the temple. I know that as a Christian, our body is the new temple of the Lord, but what about Israel's need for a Temple today?

Answer……. God, being the Alpha and Omega, conveyed his prophetic word to all of us to inform us of the things which will come to pass. Of course it was God who conveyed to the ancient Israelites the manner of building the original Temple. It was patterned after the Heavenly Throne, and the altar before the Lord. Solomon's temple was merely prepared as a place where God could literally dwell among the Israelite people. Everything about the temple, sacrifices, etc; pointed to a sacrificial Lamb and eternal worship of God in the eternal Heaven. However, because of the Jews defilement of the Temple, and its benign association with other Gods, Jehovah abandoned the facility which had been built for him. Ezekiel gives us a historical review of that tragedy in history. But Ezekiel also conveys in chapter 43-44 that there will yet be a future temple in Jerusalem that will be the house of God. Haggai 2:9 reveals that the glory of the "Latter" house shall exceed all the splendor of former Temples! Amos 9:11 and Zechariah 6:12-13 convey that Israel should expect the Messiah to build the fallen House of the Lord. ( This is something that the coming Antichrist will entice Israel with, soon! )

However, before the Glorious Temple of the Messiah is ever built, Israel will enter into a "Confirmational agreement regarding the Covenant of Abraham-Palestinic land promise. This confirmation will be accorded to modern Israel by the Antichrist! II Thesasalonians 2:1-9 indicate that the Antichrist will utilize the rebuilt Jewish Temple for his own designs. He will actually commit the event known in the Bible as the "Abomination of Desolation". Daniel and Matthew 24 speak of this occasion, and conclude with a warning to ISRAEL to flee when they see this monstrous evil take place. this act is the most vile, blasphemous, and insulting thing that Israel could do. Afterall, it amounts to a rebellion against Jehovah. Imagine the prince of Satan sitting in Jesus's rightful place......the mercy seat of the holy of Holies inside the Temple.

You are exactly correct about Christians being the the modern Temple of the Lord. The church has no need of acquiescene to Temple veneration. I Corinthians 3:16-17 verify that the body of a Christian is the physical temple of the Lord. However, Jews today remain in blindness to the living reality of Christ ( Romans 11 ) and need to experience the saving Grace of the blood of the sacrificial LAMB, which was displayed before them in thier ancient ritual services. They simply have missed out on the identity of the Messiah, as did most of Jesus contemporary generation.

Revelation 11 pictures that a temple will be rebuilt in Jerusalem for the Tribulational era. It shows the court without the Temple being left unto Gentile nations, where the trodden down nature of the annointed place will continue for 42 more months. This site will witness the testimony of the special Jewish witnesses and perhaps even the 144,000 sealed servants of God. I sense that in your love and zeal for Israel and the Jewish people that God is using you to reach out to the prospective future Jews that will assist in the renewal of Israel. Let me urge you to acquire a copy of Dr. Randall Price's book " The Coming LAST DAYS TEMPLE.....It is the most detailed volume I know of in the world regarding your very serious question.

In closing, let me urge you to not waste any time soliciting funds, works, or any other efforst for the rebuilding of the next Jewish temple. Jesus Christ will build a brand new one for Israel when he comes. The only use the third temple will serve is to accomodate a disbelieving Israeli nation with a much desired presence on MT. Moriah, and the evil scheme of the Antichrist. Israel today is still in a state of wandering and is not trusting in Jehovah for its deliverance. Psalms 122:6 and Romans 9:1 compels upon all of us to pray for Israel-Jerusalem, because God will send Jesus to reign there when Israel learns to say "Blessed is he that Cometh in the name of the Lord God...

Question # 78... Where in the Bible does it refer to anything regarding all of this World Globalization agenda? I am familiar with the UN Global Governance initiatives and its many thrusts towards world unity, and I often hear prophecy speakers talk about a world religion, and a world economy, a world government, and so forth, but I cannot pinpoint anything about that in the Bible.

Answer……. Sometimes the Bible does not explicitly lay things out for us in a simplistic and easy fashion. It sometimes seems that God wants us to dig deep into his word to gleam the Holy Spirit fed inspiration. Often we have to gain an overview of the bigger picture to see some of the details. While Daniel chapter 2 and 7 and Revelation 13, and 17 portray a panoramic view of the all the Gentile world powers, ( world powers based solely on a geo-political relationship with Israel ) including the Last Days world empire, it does not give us all the particulars about that last system of world government. Daniel conveys that it will be diverse from the previous empires ( Daniel 7:7 ) and have ten heads, or ten kings. Revelation 17:12-13 conveys that these ten kings will eventually submit their unique world-wide authority unto a single supreme leader, the Antichrist. But in verse 13, the Revelator conveys that these ten kings shall have “One-Mind”, or be like-minded, or be in total compliance philosophically and ideologically about how to govern the world as “One”! Today's popular catch-phrase for this philosophy is the term “New World Order”, or “Global Governance”! This endeavor of modern mankind to unite the entire world for self-preservation and security is modeled in the Bible on the Old World experiment of ancient Babel. ( Genesis Chapter 11) Then the leaders of the world constituted that the world should “come together” and live as ONE. Religion played a big part in the Babel world unification system! It will be again. Economics, politics, and world security were instrumental in forging the Babel Union, and they will be again in the Last Days, particularly while the world seeks a solution to the Israel-Jerusalem-Middle East controversy.

Question # 79.... Isn't Israel foolishly paying an awfully high price to hang onto land that they don't even need? It seems to me that Israel is asking for trouble.

Answer……. Well, yes Israel is indeed paying a high price for land. But Israel has always been forced to pay an extravagantly high price just simply to be able to exist. The contested land was is not the real problem! Israel's foes have held the disputed territory before and simply used it to assault the remnant portion of Israel. The real problem in this conflict is hate. Israel's recourse in the “land-for-peace formula” with her enemies is to simply cease to exist, for her enemies have sworn to drive her into the sea! Matthew 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. Psalms 25:19 Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.

( Peace for us means the destruction of Israel! Quote from Yasser Arafat )

Question # 80.... How is it possible that there could ever be a one world religion under the Tribulational dominion of the Antichrist when there are so many controversial divisions between religions?

Answer……. Religion is a Satanic, or manmade concept in the first place. True Christianity is not a religion! Christianity is simply the truth. Jesus was the truth, and the way. Christians follow that path. All religions are an effort by mankind to fashion a meritorious theology for entry into Paradise. All religion, in reality is inspired by Satan, and in effect constitute the same desire typically expressed in the ancient Babel endeavor. Jesus is the only doorway to Heaven. God, through the death, burial, and resurrection of his son, Jesus Christ effected the only legitimate means of Salvation. Hence, since Satan is the innovator of all the religions of mankind, he will have no problem combining all of them into one entity. Satan's great scheme is to be worshipped as God! So, lies are his means of gaining the world's religious adoration!
