Questions

Question # 151….(04-14-03) When the Palestinian State is declared who will get Jerusalem? If Israel gets Jerusalem as its capitol could that mean the rebuilding of the third temple? And who controls Jerusalem now?

Answer………….Well, I guess you know that you have cut right to the very heart of the problem regarding any Middle East Peace Process. The city of Jerusalem is the burdensome stone that absolutely defies resolution! With the “peace roadmap” presently still under tight diplomatic wraps, (but available for review in FOJ Library) awaiting the conclusion of the Iraq war and the development of “democratic-styled governmental reforms in the Palestinian Authority Parliament, the answers to these issues remain obscured the Quartet's geo-political closets. The consensus opinion is that Israel will only be permitted to retain West Jerusalem and existing Israeli suburbs around the city. The new State of Palestine, provided it meets the criteria mandated by the Quartet, would likely acquire East Jerusalem as its new capitol. The real dilemma for the Quartet is what to do about the Temple Mount. What entity would gain jurisdiction over the sacred mount? It is unlikely that either Israel or Palestine would be accorded full sovereignty on the Temple Mount. The UN stipulated in 1947 (UN Resolution 191) that the Temple Mount site be relegated to an international consortium of religious unity and tolerance. The success or failure of the impending “peace roadmap” will depend upon several things. First, the cells of terrorism throughout the Mid-east and primarily those that surround the immediate perimeter of Israel will have to be either eliminated or controlled. Secondly, there will have to be a framework of finalized coordination of religious dialogue and harmony between Judaism, Islam, and Catholicism, that entreats all religious adherents with accessibility to the temple site.

The successful implementation of a peace roadmap that resolves these two dilemmas would probably open a window of opportunity for Israel to rebuild its Temple. (This feat will be accorded by the Antichrist) Presently, Israel exercises control over most of Jerusalem, however, Israel since the 1967 conquest of Jerusalem has shied away from exercising sovereignty over the Temple Mount, leaving the jurisdiction of the Mount to the Islamic Waqf.

Question # 152….(4-18-03)Hey Darrell, I was just reading in your newsroom about the Pope's statement, "May Jerusalem bring us all together." Do you think he's ever read the Bible? Especially where it says that all nations will gather together against Jerusalem. I imagine that when it happens he'll eventually be sorry he wished for that. Also, I have a question. Do you think the Anti-Christ will come from Europe or where? Thanks and God Bless.

Answer…………Pope John Paul II's rationale for praying for Jerusalem to bring mankind together is cloaked in his philosophy of religious unity, through dialogue and tolerance. The Pope believes that religious harmony can serve to emancipate humanity from the threat of war. This is just one reason that Pope John Paul has dedicated his Papacy to Mary. He firmly believes that Mary can unite the world's religions under an umbrella of universal peace. The Vatican teaches that the Universal Church (Catholic-Papacy) will soon experience what it terms as “the great Catastrophe,” wherein the Papacy will go underground for a short period of time, while an Anti-Pope will wreak havoc in the world. The Pope believes that he will emerge after the anti-pope is destroyed, and with the help of Mary lead all mankind to worldly peace. The Pope believes that Jerusalem is destined to serve as an international religious capitol, with the Pope reigning as Supreme Pontiff over a united world religious brotherhood. The Vatican's interpretation of Bible Prophecy is slanted to teach that the Church of Rome will conquer the world for Christ. (Dominion Theology) In truth, the true Church of Christ is about to be caught away, and kept from the hour of Gods wrath upon a Christ-rejecting world. Only Jesus Christ can conquer this world, and he will do so when he returns to confront the armies of the Antichrist that have gathered around Jerusalem. The Antichrist will allow the rebuilding of a 3rd Jewish Temple in Jerusalem, which he will utilize to take Christ's rightful place. (II Thessalonians 2:3-4 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.) That is not the mission of the Church. The Church merely shares the Gospel with the world, planting seed, and allowing the Holy Spirit to reap the harvest. I honestly believe that the future Antichrist will indeed emerge of the EU political landscape, perhaps as the EU Super-President, and working in tandem with the Papacy to craft a Middle East Peace between Israel and the Arab world that will also involve a resolution to the sovereignty of the city of Jerusalem!

Question # 153….With America now firmly establishing a presence in Iraq and with a West friendly Iraqi government, and an with an Iraq that is free of weapons of mass destruction and terrorists, wouldn't this new reality on the ground diminish Israel's strategic importance as a critical partner for the U.S. in the Middle East?

Answer…………Some regional analysts seem to think that with Iraq devoid of Saddam Hussein and ceasing to be a direct threat to Israel that Iraq can become a bastion of democracy, and thereby offset Israel's critical importance to US interests in the Middle East. In my opinion, America will need a lot of time to calm the situation in Iraq and help to stabilize a new government there. Rather than Iraq taking the place of Israel as America's strategic partner in the region, I foresee a more likely prospect of Iraq reducing the priorities and demands of Egypt and Saudi Arabia on US interests. Will America's century or so reign at the top of the world order be enhanced with the swift victory in Iraq, signal that America is going to become even stronger in the coming decades? Nobody but the Sovereign Lord can say for sure. However, America's many enemies, including anyone that might feel threatened by the US's relative ease of dismantling Saddam Hussein, can hardly be expected to just roll over and play dead. In my opinion China, Russia, the EU, (France and all countries opposed to US hegemony) the UN and of course the many Middle East terrorist organizations will continue to work to dethrone the US as the top power broker in the Middle East. I am terribly afraid that America, and the Bush Administration with all of its newly won bargaining power in the Middle East by virtue of its victory in Iraq, will find it necessary (by pressure applied from the EU/UN/Russia) to coerce Israel into a calamitous peace roadmap that will be fatal to America's standing around the world. Lets face it, the worst thing in the world that America can do is to position itself in direct opposition to God's divine providence for the nation of Israel. I honestly believe that Syria could well become a loose cannon that will wreak havoc with the Peace Roadmap, and that America could find itself squarely in the eye of a devastating storm with the many terrorists operating out of Syria. Actually, America needs Israel as a geo-political strategic partner now more than it ever has before.

Question # 154….(04-21-03) Will the European Union still play a significant role in the Middle East after the war in Iraq, or will it become completely irrelevant since the US has swept to victory in Iraq over the objections of France and Germany?

Answer………….The European Union will continue to play a major role in the Middle East since it is a major trading partner with all the regional countries. Also, the Arab States are endeared to the EU because of the European Union's unflagging support for Middle East peace negotiations and its underwriting of the reconstruction of the Palestinian governmental institutions and economy. The Arab/Palestinians see the EU as a vital player in Middle East geo-political strategies, and literally uses the EU and Russia as a counter measure against American interests in the region. (as they used to do with the old Soviet Union) However, Israel views the typical European positions as hostile and has always preferred to have America rather than the EU to play any major role as peace mediators or monitors. Anti-Semitism and world commerce tend to drive the diplomatic-philosophical engine of the EU, whereas America maintains a strong grass roots level Judeo-Christian tradition of support for Israel. The “Quartet” sponsored “peace roadmap,” being primarily composed of EU/UN ideologies will serve as a mechanism to guarantee that the US cannot dominate the EU when it comes to Middle East peace processes. The EU is even entertaining the prospect of incorporating Israel into the EU.

Question # 155….(04-22-03) Since Hamas, Islamic Jihad, PFLP, the Al Aqsa Brigades and Hezbollah do not accept a “two-state solution,” doesn't the implementation of the peace road map between Israel and the Palestinians literally mean the acceptance of a terrorist state?

Answer………… Yes, it certainly does. It should be noted that the PLO/Fatah organization under Yasser Arafat, that is the makeup still yet today of the Palestinian Authority, and the projected beneficiaries of the governance of the proposed new State of Palestine, were in 1990 nothing but a terrorist organization. Arafat and the PLO had to be cajoled, pleaded with, begged and enticed (foreign aid) into becoming a peace-negotiating partner with Israel. Arafat supposedly renounced terrorism in 1991 in order to become a viable world-perceived peace-maker. Yet, Arafat and the PLO continued to utilize terrorism in order to milk the peace process. The “two-state” solution will never work because the numerous terrorist organizations and indeed most of the Arab States will only accept a “one-state” solution, and that solution leaves no room for a State of Israel at all. The Bush Middle East Doctrine is based upon the hope that by implanting democratic ideals within the new State of Palestine, that a new Middle East can be born, a Middle East that accepts and lives with its little neighbor of Israel. The Bush Plan, although much more logical, credible and practical than the Clinton Plan, simply won't bear fruit. No matter what the package looks like, the “two-state” solution remains a reward, and an encouragement for terrorism! Land for Peace will not work! (Leviticus 25:23 The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.) (Zecariah 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.)

Question # 156….(04-23-03) Wouldn't a war on Syria led by the United States be more dangerous to Israel than the campaign in Iraq?

Answer…………A war against Syria holds extreme prophetic significance and serious consequences for Israel. I have been advising FOJ readers for years to beware of, and watch out for a full-blown confrontation between Israel and Syria. If America should lead a campaign against Syria, I truly believe that it would involve Israel, and perhaps even hold ominous keys to the timing of the Rapture and the Tribulation. The prophecies of Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49 each convey that the “burden of Damascus” holds serious ramifications for Israel during the last days. The city of Damascus is headquarters to at least 10 Middle East terrorist organizations, not to mention being the capitol of one of the most anti-Israel and anti-Semitic regimes in the world. The new Bashar Assad regime seems to be the ideal candidate to act in so foolish a manner as to use WMD and to invoke a like retaliation against the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world. Now, after the US campaign into Iraq, it seems that all of a sudden America has discovered the reality that Syria is a big stumbling block to peaceful co-existence with Israel in the Middle East. As America and the rest of the “Quartet” (EU, UN, Russia) that is promoting the new Peace Roadmap conclude the Iraqi equation of a new Mid-east, and start to reinvigorate a new round of Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations, we are quite likely to find that the Syrian track on the Israeli perimeter will explode. When one considers the idea that Saddam Hussein's hierarchy along with the Iraqi weapons of mass destruction may have simply moved to Syria, one must ponder about what actions this terror-sponsoring-state and Axis of Evil cohort will take now that the US has encircled it, and divided it from its terrorism-partner Iran. The prophecy concerning the city of Damascus ominously points to a nuclear exchange. The big question is when, and by whom? One thing is for sure, today, for the first time in history, there are plenty of willing actors to enact the burden of Damascus. The entire world sat, watched and worried about whether or not Saddam Hussein would launch missiles into Israel as the US marched toward Baghdad. The gravest concern is what Damascus will do. Keep your eye on this city, and the geo-political brinkmanship that is being played out between America and Syria. Israel has known longer than anyone else the danger that is posed by Syria. If America, or the UN doesn't deal with Syria and the terrorists, Israel will.

Question # 157….(04-23-03) Do you think it is possible for all of the end time signs that all of the prophecy scholars and preachers are talking about can happen within the next 3.5 to 15 years! The one world currency, the revived roman empire/European union formed into 10 nations, the peace treaty, the rebuilding of the 3rd temple, the one world order, an economic collapse? When Israel became a nation on May 15, 1948 it seems like this was the starting point, in this generation! So if a generation is not more than 100 years it would seem that the Lord would return before the year May 15, 2048! Or maybe the starting point was June 1967, which could bring us to June 2067! Or possibly some future war could be the starting point for the last generation! We certainly are seeing a lot of signs today! I've read where the worlds natural resources will be greatly diminished by the year 2050 and that the world may not be able to make it too far past 2050, so 2048 sounds about right! It could very well happen in 3.5 years! What if Issac Newtons prediction about 2060 is close! There are other predictions made 2012, 2018, 2028, 2048 but it seems that the return of the Lord could very well happen by the end of this century! And I have to admit I found your “astonishing prophecies” article very interesting where you estimated about 2018! I am just very excited about the Lords return! God less you, Jesus Christ is Lord of Lords, King of Kings, Amen!

Answer……..Well, first of all, let me emphasize the point that the infamous Rapture event stands solidly as being an imminent event on the immediate horizon. The doctrine of imminence, which is the idea that the Lord could come at any moment, has always been relevant in Bible Prophecy at any time throughout history. But, the high imminence factors that are specific signs of the Lord's return have only preexisted since the rebirth of Israel in 1948, and with the acquisition of Jerusalem in 1967. (Jerusalem could not have become a “burdensome stone” without the reacquisition by Israel) These landmark historical and prophetic facts signal that the countdown on the climactic generation has indeed begun. The Lord himself concluded that the historic signal of these particular events portended that the time for his return would be near. (Matthew 24:32-34 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.) The rebirth of Israel was a prerequisite in history that needed to occur to jumpstart the process of “all these things” commencing to take place. Jesus concludes by adding that the generation that is born contemporaneously with the rebirth of national Israel would live to see “all these things” (one world system, global security, global governance, global economy, etc.) come to pass. So, therefore, according to Jesus own words, all these things that are relative to last days Bible Prophecy not only can come to pass within a generation, but also must complete their geo-political evolution in world history before the Lord comes to destroy the Antichrist at Armageddon. Jesus went on to say the following: “Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” It is true that no man can know the precise day or hour when the Lord will come, but that fact does not preclude us from from being spiritually enlivened to the “signs of the times” that portend that his coming is indeed very near! Jesus advised Christians to use their spiritual radar to detect the signs of the times! (Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, (Great Tribulation-Jacobs Trouble) and to stand before the Son of man.) I cannot possibly prescribe a year that the Lord will come, but I know that it is very, very near! That fact is easy to see for anyone that closely follows Bible Prophecy and current events, especially as the world focuses on how to craft a Middle East peace-security mechanism in a world that hates Israel. Like you, I really get excited while I watch all these things taking place right before my very eyes, because I know that the Lord is indeed coming very soon! The last generation witnessing all these sign can't stretch too far into the future either. (Psalms 90:10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; (70) and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, (80) yet is their strength labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.)

Question # 158….(04-25-03) Hi Darrell. I just read your article about Israel and the fig tree and I have a question for you. Please show me the verse that says that God will restore Israel in unbelief. You see, Israel has been in unbelief since they crucified Jesus, and remain that way today. Even the Government of Israel admits that the majority of the Jews living in Israel today are either atheists or skeptics. In addition, most of the Jews are not descendants of Abraham but are from a group of people called Askenazis who are Jews in the name of religion only. Also, everyone who is expecting Jesus to come to earth and reign on a literal throne in a temple in Jerusalem needs to read the following verses. ( John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.) (Luke 17:20-21 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.) ( John 6:15 When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.)

Answer………….Thank you for these terrific questions. As you are probably are already aware, there are no verses in the Bible which directly states in the precise manner that you suggested that Israel would be restored in unbelief. Yes, it is true that Israel has been a spiritually blinded nation for many, many years, even going back before the crucifixion of Jesus and it indeed remains so even today. However that fact does not undermine the fact that Israel according to Bible prophecy would be restored “physically” as a nation while it yet remained in a state of spiritual blindness, or unbelief. In fact Israel will remain for the most part an unbelieving nation until Jesus “literally” comes to rescue them from their ominous “covenant with hell.” (Isaiah 28)

The Biblical basis for this initial “physical restoration,” (geographic return from Diaspora to the land) followed ultimately by a “spiritual restoration” (spirit of the Lord-breath of life) was expounded upon by the prophet Ezekiel. In Ezekiel chapter 37 we are given a panoramic view of Jewish history, from the Babylonian Captivity to the epic day when the Lord shall return unto them at the climax of the time of Jacobs trouble. In this prophetic analogy, Israel is compared to a valley full of dead-dry bones, or bleaching carcasses beneath a blistering sun. In verses seven and eight of this vision, we are shown a portrayal of the bones coming together with bone and sinew beginning to cover the bones. (Ezekiel 37:7-8 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.) This prophetic analogy depicts the physical restoration of the house of Israel, but as verse 8 concludes, a physical body still needs the breath of life breathed into it before it can actually live. (spiritual life) This is the perfect picture of what the history of Israel has experienced. Israel was physically restored as a skeleton body with skin in 1948, but as you point out, Israel still has not yet experienced the realization of God's grace and spiritual restoration! But it is coming! (Ezekiel 37:11-14 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole House of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord.)

Many other scriptures point to this historical and prophetic eventuality. (Zechariah 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, (past history) and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, (repentance) as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.) (Romans 10:1-3 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.) (Romans 11:25-27 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this “mystery,” lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, “until” (until Israel is physically restored and the Bride is completed) the fullness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, (Jesus Christ) and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.) (breathe life into their body)

So, Israel's current status of unbelief shall be changed into one of true belief. But before Israel could ever mourn her Savior, have an opportunity to repent from iniquity, and have her fleshly body regenerated by the spirit of the Lord, the tangible vehicle of a national body must have come together physically as the bones did in Ezekiel's vision. (See Valley of Dry Bones article.)

*I am going to cut this question/answer response into two addresses and take up the second part of your question concerning a literal kingdom under Jesus Christ in item number 159. Please check below as available.

Question # 159….(05-06-03) (Continuation from # 158) Everyone who is expecting Jesus to come to earth and reign on a literal throne in a temple in Jerusalem needs to read the following verses.

Answer…………. Jesus responded to Pilate in the manner of John 18:36 because the Lord's kingdom was in fact not of this world at that time. Jesus fashioned his own answer to your question with the statement, “but now is my kingdom not from hence.” For the time being, the kingdom of the Lord is being built through the Gospel message, and that kingdom is being established within the repentant heart of man. The Lord's kingdom today is still not of this world, and the Church is called out to be separate from the world, but the day is coming when the Church will be caught away, and the Lord himself shall return to Israel. The scripture of Luke 17:20-21 is consistent with the call of the Church Age. However, verse 24 expresses the notion that the Son of Man would return on his day (Day of the Lord) to establish his earthly kingdom. Numerous scriptures highlight the fact that Jesus Christ shall indeed reign on a literal throne on the earth.

(Revelation 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.)

(Micah 4:1-2 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.)

(Zechariah 14:9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.)

(Psalms 2:6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.)

(Revelation 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.)

(Daniel 7:18 But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.)

(Jeremiah 33:20-21 Thus saith the Lord; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season; Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne;

(Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.)

(Zechariah 6:12-13 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord: Even he shall build the temple of the Lord; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.)

(Luke 1:31-33 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.)

(Psalms 132:11-14 The Lord hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne. If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore. For the Lord hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation. This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.)

(Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.) The anointing of the Most Holy (Jesus Christ crowned as King of Israel) will occur after the Lord has put down all rebellion. Upon that wonderful occasion it shall come to pass that Isaiah's prophecy concerning Jesus will be fulfilled. Then will begin the 1000 year Millennial Kingdom of Israel.

Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. Isaiah 9:6-7 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

Question # 160….(05-06-03) Hi Darrell. I am sorry to write to you so quickly again, but I just read your article on the covenant land in which you quoted Leviticus 25:23 about the land never being sold. Please compare this verse with the following verses in Acts 4:34-35.

Answer…………. The scripture recorded in Acts 4:34-35 deals specifically and solely with the early church. The Holy Spirit had moved upon these early Christians to form a bond, and to support the Apostles, and to support each other in the sharing of the Gospel. They agreed in spirit to sell all that they possessed, and to share each other's burdens for the cause of the furtherance of the Gospel. That is all that is within view in this scripture. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the Promised Land, nor with Israel.
