Bringing Islam to the USA

Speaking before a November 2002 White House gathering of Arab/Muslim Americans, U.S Secretary of State Colin Powell said that the U.S. State Department  is endeavoring to expand US government programs to bring educators, journalists and political and religious leaders from Islamic countries to the United States. "We are committed to ensuring that our programs reach out to Muslims in all walks of life," Powell told the gathering of Muslim-Americans at an Iftaar, the end-of-the-day meal that breaks daylong fasts during the holy month of Ramadan. Secretary Powell said the United States also is committed to enhancing Islamic understanding by building hope. "From the mountains of Afghanistan to the valleys of Bosnia to the plains of Africa to the forests of Asia and around the world we are on the ground working with our Muslim partners to expand the circle of peace, the circle of prosperity, and the circle of freedom," he said. Describing religious extremism and violence as America's greatest enemies, Mr. Powell said, "We must not listen to the siren song of the bigots, (Christian fundamentalists that expose the truth of Islam and its pagan god) of the religious extremists within Christianity who cloak themselves in a façade of false spirituality in an attempt to divide and  weaken the fabric of our nation." "We must work to bring more Muslims to America, in an endeavor to reach out to the Muslim world," Powell said!

Secretary Powell, in a speech just one week earlier had condemned America's Christian right for propagating a spirit of hatred against Muslims. His attacks appeared to be a coordinated White House campaign to confront and offset what it sees as a rising anti-Islamic rhetoric from a conservative Christian constituency that even includes some of the Bush  Administration's staunchest philosophical and political supporters. Just Days after Pat Robertson remarked on his Christian Broadcasting Network that "what the Muslims want to do to the Jews is worse than the Holocaust", Secretary Powell told a Muslim gathering in Washington: "This kind of hatred must be rejected." Secretary Powell pointed out that the escalation in anti-Muslim comments, emanating  from the voices of some of America's conservative Christians, such as the  recent claim by Jerry Falwell, noted as one of America's leading conservative Southern Baptists, that Mohammed, the revered prophet of Islam, was in reality nothing himself except "a blood-letting terrorist," not only divides the nation and slanders a great religion, but it also promotes hatred. Secretary Powell, compared the epic struggle of the civil rights movement of America's Black community to the present struggle of American Muslims efforts to claim equal rights, and to attain a  level of acceptance that permits it recognition within the  diverse apparatus of the American political arena.

On November 19th, 2002 President George W. Bush hosted a White House dinner and gave a speech to honor the beginning of the Muslim Holy month of Ramadan. His speech (written by his speech writers) gave evidence of the need of Christians to continued to pray for the President's enlightenment on some key Biblically based principles. In my own earnest opinion, the most troubling comments from President Bush's speech regard the following statements: "Ramadan is a special time of prayer and fasting, contemplation of God's greatness, and service to those in need. According to Muslim teachings, this season commemorates the revelation of God's word in the holy Koran to the prophet Muhammad. Today this word inspires faithful Muslims to lead lives of honesty and integrity and compassion. "In hosting tonight's Iftaar, (Iftaar is the breaking of fast… after Ishaa, prayers is highly desirable, preferably with water, milk or dates, prayers to Allah are recited:  Iftaar Prayer--O Allah, the Lord, this is the month of Ramadhan, in it Thou revealed the Holy Quran, and in it made obligatory "fasting" upon Thy servants, and blessing on Muhammad and on the children of Muhammad, and provide us with the means to go to Thy Sacred House for "Hajj" this year and every year; and in this month forgive my grave sins, verily, other, than Thee, no one can liberate me from its consequences, O Beneficent O Omniscient)  the President continued, "I send a message to all the nations represented by their ambassadors here tonight: "America treasures your friendship. America honors your faith. "We see in Islam a religion that traces its origins back to God's call on Abraham. We share your belief in God's justice, and your insistence on man's moral responsibility." President Bush wasted no time, following the September 11th terrorist attacks, in exonerating Islam and reminding Americans that the violence had been committed by freedom haters. Islam, the religion the terrorists claimed to represent while carrying out their attacks, actually stood for peace, the President insisted. Fourteen months after the attacks, the 19 hijacker/terrorists are still considered heroes by certain elements of the Islamic community around the world.

Therefore, it is the opinion of FOJ that the U.S. is not prepared to fight the war on terrorism because our nation has simply failed to understand the true nature of Islam, or to identify its enemy. Even our leaders are intent on insisting that the war on terrorism has nothing whatsoever to do with Islam, when in fact it has everything to do with Islam. It stands to reason that when you are engaged in a conflict and you can't even identify the true nature of your opponent, you are at a tremendous disadvantage and subject to subtle, and benign supernatural consequences.

Ironically, since the September 11th assault on America by fundamentalist Islam, America has flung open the welcome mat to the very ideals and perverted teachings of a religion that compelled its Jihad warrior faithful (Muslim terrorists) to strike out at the American heartland. Allah has gained notoriety in America! Allah is welcome in government circles, but God (Jehovah) and his Ten Commandments are not welcome!

But more significantly, the Presidents comment that the Koran contains revelations from God to Mohammed is of a vital concern to this ministry. The Focus on Jerusalem Prophecy Ministry endeavors to relate the prophecy of God as he conveyed it to the Old Testament prophets, and through the eschatological expositions of Jesus in the New Testament. (Revelation, etc) It is of paramount importance to FOJ to highlight the fact that these two sources of revelations cannot come from the same God. Consequently, the assimilation of prophecies from the Koran into mainstream American religious-education is a disastrous prospect for the dissemination of the truth, especially in light of the fact that America and the world is embarking into highly prophetic times. Also FOJ wishes to highlight the fact that the Presidents statement quoted Islamic doctrine specifying that the holy month of Ramadam to Muslims is the special month in which "Allah" proclaims that he, and "only" he forgives sins. (Jesus is the only propitiation for sin) There is no forgiveness of sin without the shed blood of Jesus Christ being applied to each and every sinner. So when a Christian President echoes the falsehood of Allah forgiving sin without the blood of Jesus Christ, it is a very serious and blasphemous offense to the God who sent his only begotten Son into the world for express purpose of destroying sins stain.

I John 2:1-2  My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

I John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

It now appears that the President's recent statements on Islam came after a series of serious political encouragement to do so by the Muslim-American community, and by Secretary of State Colin Powell, who felt that the religion of Islam was being deliberately slandered. Secretary Powell acknowledged that the rhetoric against Islam had basically damaged America's overall image and prestige in the Arab world, so the President was urged by the (CAIR) Council on American Islamic Relations to denounce the Christian right, and to defend the civil rights of 7,000,000 American Muslims. And it is certainly true that the President is the leader of all the American people, whether they are Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Atheist, or anything else. The President should uphold the liberty and civil rights of all the American people. But it is one thing to tolerate and uphold religious freedom and diversity, but it is an entirely different matter to publicly espouse religious harmony while promoting a false god! This matter takes on added seriousness since America through its constitutional re-definitions has slighted the one and only true (I AM-Jehovah) God, by removing him from its prominent institutions.

So, with a dramatic political penchant, President Bush took on the Christian rightwing core of his political base by sternly  denouncing anti-Islamic remarks made by religious leaders including evangelist Pat Robertson. Bush said such anti-Islamic comments were at odds with the views of most Americans. "Some of the comments that have been uttered about Islam do not reflect the sentiments of my government or the sentiments of most Americans," Bush told reporters as he began a Nov. 20 meeting with U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan. "By far, the vast majority of American citizens respect the Islamic people and the Muslim faith. After all, there are millions of peaceful-loving Muslim Americans," Bush said. "Ours is a country based upon tolerance, and we're not going to let the war on terror or terrorists cause us to change our values." Bush did not identify conservative Christian leaders as his target, but White House officials said he was prompted by the anti-Islamic remarks of some of them, particularly religious broadcaster Pat Robertson, who reportedly said this week Muslims were "worse than the Nazis." "He (Bush) wanted a clear statement," a senior White House official said.

Focus on Jerusalem notes that it is certainly admirable and appropriate for Christians to extend Christ's love to those of other religions, through tolerance and acts of friendship, but at the same time we should never turn a blind spiritual eye to the benign onslaught of Satanic inroads being made against true Christianity, and against the Christian heritage that was established on the North American continent by America's  founding Christian fathers. President Bush is obviously, and rightfully highly concerned about protecting the civil rights of Arab/Muslim Americans as our country pursues the  evil elements within the religion of Islam that attacked America.
Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world, and also the fastest growing religion in America. New mosques sprung up in America more quickly than Christian churches in the last decade, according to a recent report. The number of Muslim places of worship grew by 42 percent between 1990 and 2000, compared with the 12 percent average increase for evangelical churches. There are over 1200 Islamic mosques in America today, with approximately 2,000,000 members, with over 500,000 regular attendees at Friday prayers. A recent Bagby poll revealed that two-thirds of the 19,000 converts every year to Islam are men and that 14,000 of that total are African-Americans. Most religious-demographic surveys estimate that America's prison population has seen the most extensive Islamic mission converts, with over 2 million Muslim residents. Further studies show that 27 percent of Black Muslim converts with a spouse or partner live in racially mixed religious families. Muslim Americans tend to be heavily concentrated in New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Detroit and in Texas. Given the fact that the US Constitution precludes any national census from investigating the religious preferences and characteristics of American citizens, it is impossible to accurately obtain a precise, definitive number for the size of US religious groups, but most recent surveys suggest that Islam has made gigantic leaps forward in America's metropolitan areas, and in states that are ports of immigration.

While it certainly is true that most of American Muslims feel ill at ease about the new war on terror, and its association with fundamentalist Islam, and the possibilities of threats against them in America, they steadfastly contend that the religion of Islam is a religion of peace. But still they proudly boast, as nearly all Middle East Muslims also do that America will be converted to Islam within 20 years. Regardless of whether or not the American Muslim community actively supports the fundamentalist Jihad war against America, the Islamic community is actively seeking to change America from its Christian heritage to an Islamic theocracy. Whether it be through Islamic terrorism or geo-social religious assimilation, one thing is for certain, America is becoming a diverse nation of religions other than the one (Christianity) that founded its government 226 years ago.

The 2001 Census figures on religion in America shows that the US population grew by 5.4% during the five years from 1996 to 2001. During that time the numbers identifying with Christianity grew by just 1.4%. In other words, the growth in those identifying with a Christian group did not keep pace with the population growth. However the Islamic faith membership grew by a whopping 29%! American Buddhism and Hinduism also showed double digit percentage increases.

The UN Conferences on Multiculturalism and Tolerance have uniquely promoted an agenda of diversifying the demographic-religious makeup of America. By utilizing the openness of American democracy, the UN sponsored Conferences on Racism and hatred has institutionalized within America, programs to promote ethnic-religious diversity through immigration, and refugee relocation funds. The UN Human Rights Resolutions against racism and hatred has routinely singled out Israel as the primary source of racial unrest and aggravation. Consequently, because of its support for Israel, the US finds itself the prioritized nation in the world undergoing the most intense UN sponsored cultural-religious-ethnic diversification.  It is known that the UN long ago targeted the American Christian Republic for  a socio-religious-ethnic cultural re-modification program of Multi-Pluralism that  it hoped would eventually transform American society and culture  into an environment that is much more adaptive and suitable for anything other than Biblical Christianity, and Jesus Christ.

The Grand Islamic Mufti of Egypt, the highest religious authority in Egypt and a man who has the power to issue fatwas (a fatwa is a religious ruling of interpretation that may only be proclaimed by a ranking Islamic Cleric) and interpretations of Shari'a law, has defended Palestinian suicide bombings and called the Rev. Jerry Falwell an American terrorist because of his Christian views on Islam. Also the attorneys of the American Islamic movement began a lawsuit against Rev. Falwell. As in most other Arab countries, the Egyptian State appoints the grand Mufti. President Hosni Mubarak named Sheikh Ahmad Al-Tayyeb to the post earlier this year after his predecessor issued a ruling in favor of suicide bombings by Palestinians. Al-Tayyeb repeated in excruciating detail his reasoning for encouraging Palestinians to kill innocent civilians through suicide attacks. Palestinians, he said, are justified in killing Israeli civilians ''because they are defending their land and have no other weapons at their disposal.'' The grand mufti pointedly condemned as a traitor any Palestinian who refuses to take such a step. Al-Tayyeb also offered his own definition of terrorism. He explained that Jerry Falwell, an influential leader in the American Christian community, is a terrorist because his views about Islam have offended Muslims. ''Why do the Americans always speak about Islamic terrorism? Why don't they speak about the extreme right-wing Christian terrorists?'' he asked. When asked who is a terrorist, he explained: "I'm talking about those Christians in America that seek to influence Western foreign policy in favor of Israel. Those fundamentalist Christians who advocate a Biblical right for Israel to occupy Muslim/Palestinian lands are the real terrorists", he said. The grand mufti says openly that Palestinian suicide bombers who strap explosives around their waists and enter restaurants, pool halls, discotheques and shopping malls to murder innocent women and children, the young and the old, Israelis and foreign tourists and whoever else happens to be around, are doing God's (Allah) work and should be treated as heroes of the resistance.

The Focus on Jerusalem Prophecy Ministry took special note of the Summit meeting between President Bush and  the Saudi Arabian Prince Abdullah in Crawford, Texas, that was  held in August 2002. In his meeting with the Saudi Arabian Prince, President Bush took up the issue of fundamentalist Islam. President Bush specifically asked  the Prince why the Saudi kingdom does not do more to restrain the hate-laced, terror-inciting rhetoric of Holy Jihad amongst the Saudi Islamic clergy towards America in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Prince replied to Bush that America condones hardcore fundamentalist Christians that espouse a special favoritism toward Israel, and therefore against the Arab world. Their discussion, whether they were aware of it or not, reflects the fact that although the dialogue between the worlds religions is moving rapidly towards a unity and harmony of faiths, there still remains one sector of division. That divisive issue is Israel, and the city of Jerusalem, and the hardcore Christian base of support for Israel that emanates from America. The persistent nuisance that keeps America in the eye of the fundamentalist Islamic wave of hate, is the conservative Christian eschatological view that America must support Israel, and do all that it can to defend Israel's right to the land!

The Saudi Kingdom has since launched a vitriolic attack on what it describes as Christian fundamentalism in the United States. One Saudi newspaper, al-Watan, said Christian fundamentalism was no less dangerous to international peace and security than other forms of religious extremism. The Saudi paper said the international media had concentrated only on Muslim fundamentalism, forgetting that Christian fundamentalism was just as dangerous. The paper said the influence of Christian extremists in America had increased since the attacks on New York and the Pentagon last year. The paper said Christian fundamentalism in the US was particularly dangerous because it was capable of influencing American foreign policy to further its own interest's which were identical with Israeli interests in the Middle East. Another newspaper, The Saudi Gazette, said Christian fundamentalists in the US were raising what it described as "a dust of hatred" over Islam and Saudi Arabia, and called upon President Bush to rein in the Christian fundamentalists elements whose agenda threatens to initiate a "clash of civilizations," because of it bias towards the nation of Israel.

Interestingly enough, more than three-fourths  of Americans want U.S. immigration laws tightened to allow fewer immigrants from Arab or Muslim nations into the country. Instead, Washington is paying to move Muslims to the United States. According to a recent Worldviews 2002 survey, 76 percent of Americans said that, "based on the events of Sept. 11th, 2001, U.S. immigration laws should be tightened to restrict the number" of Arab or Muslim immigrants. Also, 77% said they favored restricting immigration "in order to combat terrorism." Yet, under the US Refugee Act of 1980, the government's office of Refugee Resettlement has set aside some $159 million in fiscal year 2002 for the resettlement of Islamic refugees from Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, and Somalia. In October 2001, just a month after 9-11, the U.S. has spent about $17 million per month on resettling an average 1,671 Muslim refugees from around the world. "Part of that money is disbursed in the form of outright cash payments to individual refugees, with a quota of at least 20 percent of whom are Muslims. So even though an overwhelming percentage of Americans think that there should be less Muslim immigration to the United States, the federal government and the refugee-resettlement industry are importing Islam at $10,000 per Muslim."

With American women (planned parenthood) aborting nearly 2,000,000 of their own babies every year, and the influx of so many divergent immigrants with non-Christian backgrounds, ultimately the religious makeup of America in the next few years will be drastically altered, especially in light of the fact that Islam seems to be more and more the religion of choice for most American minorities.  The American Muslim Council has targeted America's new wave of immigrants and black America as its mission field in converting America to Islam. The American Muslim Council believes that America will become a predominantly Islamic country by 2023. This goal may be more realistic than most people realize, especially when one analyzes the projection statistics for religion in America and discovers that Humanism, skepticism, and outright Atheism follow Islam as the fastest growing religious movements in America.

As American Muslims increase in numbers and influence, it is only a matter of time before they begin to exercise their new found powers of political clout in American government and begin to reshape the foundations of America, religious and otherwise. And there is nothing wrong with that, but it will hold dire consequences for our formerly Christian nation.

The Worldviews survey also indicated that Americans' attitudes about Islam have become more wary since 9-11. The survey concluded that; "The proportion of the public calling Islamic fundamentalism a critical threat to vital U.S. interests has jumped 23 points to 61 percent.. Additionally, "four out of 10 Americans say that the 9-11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon 'represent the true teachings of Islam' 'to a great degree' (21 percent) or 'to some degree' (18 percent)." Despite new concerns about Muslims and Arabs, however, only slightly more than one in four Americans (27 percent) say they believe a "clash of civilizations" between Islam and the West is inevitable. Furthermore it was revealed  in these studies that there is yet a sincere yearning for many Americans with a religious background to create an environment for a better dialogue of understanding between religions.

I have noted the increased use of the phraseology "the clash of two civilizations" in the language of Pope John Paul II. His remarks relative to the American war on evil, seems to always focus on establishing a spirit of tolerance, to engage in a dialogue of interfaith harmony, and thereby eliminating the seeds of spiritual hatred. I have no doubt in my mind that he and the Islamic Imams have pinpointed fundamentalist Christians as the thorn in the side of world ecumenicalism, and ultimately as the stumbling block to the unification of the world's religions.

Albeit, FOJ will continually stand forthright to teach that Christian support for Israel is a basic byproduct teaching of Biblical Christianity.  While it may eventually become politically correct to tolerate the gods of other religions, and appease the enemies of Israel, FOJ shall remain front and center in being a thorn in the side of world religion. Allah is not God, and therefore Islam is not about peace, but about submission. Certainly not all Muslims are terrorists," of course. "But it would be dishonest to ignore the plain truth that Islam has become an especially fertile breeding-ground of terrorism in our time, and is making inroads in America. This can only mean that there is something in this religion itself that legitimizes the likes of Osama bin Laden, Yasser Arafat, and others like them; and that is the call by the Koran to wage holy war, or Jihad, against the 'infidels. ( convert America, or destroy it )

America does not need more Muslims, as US Secretary of State Powell asserts. America does not even need to be constantly concerned about  appealingly exhausting the political hands of  tolerance and correctness. Oh yes, we as Christians do need to extend common courtesy and kindness to all people, and to peoples of all religions, but we must never make a pretense of accommodating their gods, nor in assisting the demographic-facilitation of  false gods-religious-doctrines throughout our culture. (there is only one name under Heaven whereby men may be saved, and that name is, and has always been the name of Jesus Christ! And there is none other God but one: I Corinthians 8:4) We need to Christianize the Arab/Muslim world, and return America back to the God of Christianity, and stop cavorting around with other gods! America needs to re-establish the fundamental principles of Christianity in its social and cultural fabric. We need more Christian prayer, Bible reading, the Ten Commandments, and Jehovah back in our churches, our schools, and in the government institutions of America.

America does not need more Muslims. In fact the Muslims that are already in America need Jesus Christ! That message must never be compromised through the philosophy of tolerance! America doesn't need to promote the concept that there are numerous gods, or that there are multiple pathways to Heaven.  America needs to Christianize the Arab/Muslim world. America needs more Christians, whether they be black, white, yellow, or red, natural born citizens or immigrants. America needs to return to the one true God, the God of our forefathers, and the God of scripture!

Joshua 24:14-16  Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. And the people answered and said, God forbid that we should forsake the Lord, to serve other gods.

Josh 24:19-21  And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the Lord: for he is an holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.  If ye forsake the Lord, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he hath done you good. And the people said unto Joshua, Nay; but we will serve the Lord.
